Tesla CEO and Billionaire businessman Elon Musk said on Thursday that if his Twitter takeover plan succeeds, he would get rid of all of the spam bots so that way only real humans were allowed on the platform.
Musk made his statements in a tweet saying,
“If our twitter bid succeeds, we will defeat the spam bots or die trying.. And authenticate all real humans….A top priority I would have is eliminating the spam and scam bots and the bot armies that are on Twitter,”
Musk has expressed concerns about bots posting scams on Twitter to trick unsuspecting users, saying at a Ted Talk earlier this month that Crypto Scams were way too common,
“If I had a Dogecoin for every crypto scam I saw, we’d have 100 billion Dogecoin.”
Musk secured $46.5 billion in financing to buy the platform according to a Thursday regulatory filing. The filing also shows Musk is considering buying stock from existing shareholders at $54.20 per share in order to grow his stake in Twitter,
