A woman who was licensed to carry stopped a mass shooting from happening but the mainstream media decided to ignore the story.
It happened in Charleston, West Virginia. According to officials, a man started shooting ‘indiscriminately ‘ at a crowd of people attending a graduation party at an apartment complex. 37-year-old Dennis Butler shot two police officers that arrived on the scene, taking them out. That’s when, according to police, the woman pulled out her handgun and shot Butler, killing him.
Police Chief Tyke Hunt said,
“Instead of running from the threat, she engaged with the threat and saved several lives last night.”
Even so, the mainstream media failed to report on the woman’s heroic actions but it’s not the only time a good guy with a gun has stopped a bad guy with a gun. In fact, the Journal of Quantitative Criminology people who are licensed to carry use guns to defend themselves “at least 989,883 times” every year.
Scholars Gary Kleck and Marc Gertz published a study saying that armed citizens used legally owned guns to defend themselves an average of 1,884,348 times per year. And the Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) say that number could be as high as 3 million.
Not only do legally armed citizens defend themselves millions of times a year but they also help law enforcement in deadly situations.
A report by John Lott’s Crime Prevention Research Center lists out numerous different examples in which armed citizens have come to the defense of law enforcement. Here are just a few of the many examples.

The suspect fired at the deputies, hitting both. That was when good Samaritans armed with their own weapons stepped forward and fired multiple shots in the direction of the suspect to provide cover for and protect the wounded deputies. The sheriff thanked the armed good Samaritans who came to the wounded heroes’ aid and kept them safe until backup arrived.

A suspect accused of critically injuring a Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputy in Avondale was captured after a homeowner shot him during a break-in. The homeowner was glad he carried a gun that day to protect his family.

After the crash, the driver hopped out of the car with a pump shotgun. He then reportedly aimed it at the officers and began firing at them……That good Samaritan turned out to be a CCW holder and pulled out his gun to defend himself. He fired one time at the suspect, making him fall to the ground…

An armed citizen and his companions came to the aid of a female police officer who had just been shot with her own gun.
The witness said one of those good Samaritans was able to control the situation because he carried his own gun. He never fired it, but he cornered the inmate who was trying to make the wounded officer drive with a stomach wound. Then, the men were able to hold that inmate to the ground by pointing a gun to his head. . . .
However, stories like these don’t make headlines and they rarely get a mention on nightly newscasts around the nation. Media outlets, Hollywood Elites and social media users instead push the anti 2nd amendment agenda of the democrats turning the ‘guns kill people’ argument into the new absolute truth for society. If you disagree with more restrictions on guns the collective mind-think labels you a hateful murderer.
It’s now become a fact. Just like all white people are racist and the Covid Vaccine is 100% safe and effective. These new ‘absolute truths’ mute out any opposing point of view and any statistical research proving them wrong. If you disagree, you must hate children, your grandparents or you have blood on your hands.
The Modus operandi of the left; make the accusation so horrendous that people are scared into silence and the initial resistance fades to a whisper behind a closed door.
Take the Uvalde, Texas mass shooting for instance. A horrible tragedy in which an 18-year-old troubled loner with an explosive temper and an affinity to harm animals (according to friends and family) walked into an elementary school and killed 19 children and two teachers.
The massacre sent mainstream media and liberals across the nation into a frenzy attacking anyone and everyone who may have the slightest support for the 2nd amendment.
Unhinged liberals are now violently confronting U.S. Senators while they sit down to eat with their family and staff calling them ‘murderers’ for supporting the 2nd amendment. ‘Protesters’ screaming obscenities outside of the NRA’s annual meeting with the pressure leading up to the event so great many speakers and performers pulling out at the last minute.
However, the first thing an off duty border patrol agent did after receiving a text message from his wife “Help. Active Shooter. I love you’ was grab a shotgun and run to the school to help. After the ordeal he said ‘maybe we can now change policy to allow teachers to carry in order to protect their students.’
Imagine if just one person in that school was armed. Imagine if the teacher inside the classroom was armed. Imagine if a good guy with a gun was inside that room to stop the bad guy with a gun. 21 families may be sitting down to dinner tonight thankful for the mass shooting that never happened.
