New Mexico Democrats have been sued by an election integrity group who say the public has a right to see the voter rolls.
The Voter Reference Foundation (VRF) is an election integrity group that works to ensure the “transparent, accurate and fair elections in the United States.” One of the ways they do this is by making sure that the public has access to see the voter roles. However, according to the watchdog group, Democrat Secretary of State Maggie Oliver and Democrat Attorney General
Hector Balderas have tried to stop the public from seeing the voter roles by ‘Falsely claiming that the publication of those voter roles are illegal’ They also say that Oliver has a history of blocking access to public records to those who don’t have the same political views.
The VRF has published voter registration lists in 22 states and the district of Columbia.
The lawsuit claims that the removal of such data from public view violates the first and 15th amendments and askes for a permanent injunction.
