The People’s Convoy has officially rolled out of Hagerstown Speedway, As they head West back to California
The group, who has been camped out at the speedway located just outside Washington D.C. – said they’re heading back to the Golden state to protest what they call “universally dangerous bills’ that will “change everything for people who want to live, work, or learn in the state of California while exercising their right to medical freedom.” According to the movement’s website.
Mike Landis – the organizer of the group – told truckers at the Racetrack on Sunday that they are not done in D.C. adding that they hope to raise awareness of the issues on their way back to California and hopefully gain more people – just like they did on their way to D.C. He promised to come back to finish the job once they stop the actions on the West cost.
Several senators met with the People’s Convoy, including Sens. Ron Johnson and Senator Ted Cruz who was riding shotgun with truckers earlier this month.
The Peoples Convoy gained national attention for fighting against over-reaching government restrictions. They racked up more than 10,000 truckers and supporters along the way.
