The group – dressed in “black bloc” to hide their identities – launched the coordinated assault involving gunfire, explosives and fireworks, vehicle vandalism, and graffiti.

Shots were fired at Alvarado police officers and unarmed correctional officers, with one officer shot in the neck.

Prosecutors said the assault was a ‘premeditated act of insurrection against government authority.’ ****

They said it was planned via encrypted apps and involved reconnaissance, arms stockpiling, and recruitment from anti-law enforcement circles.
