The CEO Of A Publicity Firm Specializing In Recruiting Protesters For Large Events Is Saying That He Rejected A $20 Million Offer To Organize People For Upcoming Nationwide Protests Against President Donald Trump.
Adam Swart, Head Of Crowds On Demand, Talked About His Decision saying the protests would probably be violent and won’t even be effective.
“Interests aligned with the organizers of the July 17 Movement have approached us. And in fact, we rejected an offer that probably is worth around $20 million.”
“I mean this is a nationwide thing…. the value of a contract would have been worth around that amount nationwide to organize huge demonstrations around the country.”
“But personally, I just don’t think it’s effective.”
“So I’m not trying to call myself virtuous for rejecting it. What I’m saying is, I’ve rejected it not because I don’t want to take this business, but because frankly, this is going to be ineffective. It’s gonna make us all look bad.”
When pressed about who made him the offer, Swart said he wouldn’t name them, adding it would be bad for business to reveal client details.
The Protests, Dubbed “Good Trouble Lives On,” Are Set For Thursday And are being held To Honor The Legacy Of Late Civil Rights Activist & Congressman John Lewis, Who Was A Harsh Critic Of President Trump, In Fact Lewis Boycotted The President’s First Inauguration.
