Democrat Abu Musa is under investigation for election fraud in Michigan while being investigated by police for residence issues in the majority M*slim community.
The Hamtramck Councilman is accused of ballot stuffing in a tight primary race.
Musa is now under active investigation for election fraud just days after he advanced.
This after he was caught on surveillance footage – as a passenger in a black car – handing over and depositing three large stacks of absentee ballots into a city drop box just days before the vote.
This comes as a bigger probe into corruption and voter irregularities in the Detroit-area city is being conducted.
The video, timestamped shortly before the primary, shows a man that appears to be Musa, feeding the driver envelopes who then deposits them into the drop box.
Michigan law prohibits people from dropping off multiple ballots.
Musa advanced to the November general election securing 1,053 votes—just dozens more than some of his competitors where absentee ballots were critical in the outcome.
This isn’t the first scandal for Musa or Hamtramck’s all-M*slim city council, which has drawn criticism for its all migrant-majority governance.
In fact, four of those 6 council members are under scrutiny – with a spotlight on the large migrant community that allegedly allows illegal migrants to vote.
Earlier this year Musa was implicated in a 2023 election fraud investigation involving forged absentee ballot applications, however he was not charged at the time.
That investigation, led by the Michigan Attorney General’s office, has since resulted in felony charges against two of his fellow councilmen, Mohammed Hassan and Muhtasin Sadman, for allegedly forging signatures and making false statements on ballots.
The Michigan State Police are now wrapping up a related residency investigation into Musa and others, over claims that he lives outside city limits.
Meanwhile, undercover reporting has exposed multiple ballot-harvesting schemes in Hamtramck, where candidates are allegedly bullying voters and collecting ballots door-to-door.
