\Paul Pelosi, husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was given two Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans during the C*VID-19 shutdowns.
The loans were being made available to help struggling small businesses survive the p*ndemic – and were ultimately forgiven at the taxpayer’s expense.
However, the Pelosi’s who are worth hundreds of millions took the opportunity to reap the benefits of the government program through two businesses.
EDI Associates received a PPP loan valued between $350,000 and $1 million in 2020 ($700K). the loan was fully forgiven.
Another entity, connected through Paul’s investments, received a second loan in the $350k-$1m bracket ($900K) the loan was fully forgiven.
Congress, under Nancy Pelosi’s leadership, expanded forgiveness rules to cover up to 40% of PPP loans
