#new A Democrat Representative admitted that she’s communicating with foreign countries to supply Cuba with oil despite U.S. sanctions
Pramila Jayapal admitted in a public speech in Seattle that she is talking to foreign ambassadors from Mexico and other Latin American countries to figure out ways to get oil into Cuba, openly defying President Trump’s sanctions and executive orders that cut off fuel to the communist dictatorship.
“I was in conversations with the ambassadors from Mexico and some other places, Other countries in Latin America trying to figure out how to get oil there but it is a crisis beyond imagination. “
“Trump signed a broad executive order that widens sanctions and allows for new penalties similar to what we have for Iran and Russia against foreign banks and firms dealing with Cuba.”
“It also reinforces the ban on US tourism. I’ve called these sanctions an economic bombing of the infrastructure of Cuba. It is illegal”***
Jayapal made the statements days after returning from a five-day trip to Havana where she met with Cuban dictator Miguel Díaz-Canel and other regime officials. ***
“In January, Trump issued an executive order threatening tariffs on any country supplying fuel to Cuba.”
“This was this January …….and oil shipments from Venezuela …… were halted after the US operations to kidnap Nicolas Maduro. Since January only one Russian tanker of oil has made it before I landed. One tanker has enough oil basically for 10 to 14 days of Cuba’s oil needs so it is a very limited amount of time.”
“Russia said they are going to send another tanker.” ****
The Democrat then said the sanctions were just ‘policy disagreements’ and bragged about how she is actively working to get around those sanctions with foreign governments.
Critics say that this amounts to treason and Jayapal, who was born in India, should be arrested and charged immediately.
All of this is happening while the Trump administration enforces a fuel blockade that stopped Venezuelan oil shipments after U.S. operations against Nicolás Maduro and threatens tariffs on any country that supplies Cuba.
