The 27-year-old illegal migrant slashed the woman’s face at Milan’s Duomo metro station, leaving her with permanent scars after a brief glance triggered his rage.

The attack happened in the afternoon on the M3 line platform – one of Milan’s busiest tourist and transit spots. Mohammed Saidi, walked up to the woman who was waiting for a train with friends.
He confronted her over eye contact that was made and demanded to know why she was looking at him while announcing he was a man and a m*slim.
When she denied it and said she was talking to someone else, he insulted her, spit on her, punched her in the face, and then pulled a knife and sliced up her lip and cheek. The young woman fought back, and was helped by her friends, but not before she was permanently scarred, she later said
“I thought I was going to die. I couldn’t see anything, and blood was preventing me from breathing.”
She was rushed to a nearby hospital in yellow code condition – the wounds are expected to leave a life-long disfigurement.
The night before the slashing, Saidi was arrested for theft and smashing parked cars.
A judge validated the arrest but released him with a prohibition on staying in Milan, allowing him back on the streets within hours. He is now being charged with:
🟧Aggravated assault causing permanent facial disfigurement (a specific offense added to Italian law in 2019), and
🟧Resistance to a public official.
🟧Prosecutors requested pretrial jail time citing flight risk and danger of repeat offenses.
