The deportation of illegal migrants is now at the lowest levels in history.
According to a recent report, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Deported about 59,000 illegal migrants in Fiscal Year 2021, that number down from more than 185,000 deportations in 2020. In addition, arrests of illegals in the interior of the country are down about 75,000 from the average deportation rate between 2017 and 2019. This as an all time high of more than 1.7 million illegal migrants were apprehended at the southern border in 2021, with nearly 300,000 migrants released into the county in the first three months of fiscal year 2022 alone.
In September, the Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas said that immigration officials are no longer allowed to detain and deport migrants soley for being in the country illegally and TSA. has confirmed that the airport security organization accepts immigration arrest warrants from illegal migrants as a form of identification when flying on commercial airlines.
