DHS Asking For Volunteers To Help With Border Crisis, Massive Illegal Migrant Crossing

The Department of Homeland Security is asking for employees to volunteer at the southern border as massive numbers of illegal migrants continue to arrive.

It’s being called a DHS Volunteer force and according to an email sent out by the department, the force already has 1,400 volunteers. The email states that they are looking for people who will help support Customs and Border Protection’s frontline workforce.

According to a source, Border Patrol Agents are overwhelmed and many of them are being pulled out of the field to process the illegal migrants that are pouring across the border.

In the first five months of Fiscal Year 2022 nearly 1 million illegal migrants have crossed the U.S. Mexico border with 164,000 of those arriving last month alone. That’s nearly 65,000 more than last February, 130,000 more illegal migrants crossing than did in February of 2020- when Trump was in office – and about 100,000 more that arrived 3 February’s ago, which was widely viewed as the border crisis of 2019.

Many experts believe that if Biden continues on with his open border policy, upwards of 2.5 million illegal migrants will cross the U.S. Mexico Border this year. Even so, Biden recently slashed border security funding by nearly half a billion dollars.
