Skyrocketing gas prices continue to impact Americans across the nation, and there are five states that showcase the country’s highest rates
According to AAA the national average for a gallon of gas sits at $4.17 today, which is up from $1.87 a gallon when Trump was in office.

Some states are seeing even higher rates, here are the top five states with the highest prices:
California, Nevada, Alaska, Hawaii and Washington – all but one are run by Democrat Governors.
In California, for regular unleaded – the price reaches $6.00 a gallon. Hawaii, and Nevada have prices higher than $5 bucks a gallon and in Alaska the price is hovering
right about $5 a gallon.
Many are pointing to Joe Biden for the spike in gas prices, that started rising about three months after he took office, and the record setting inflation rates not seen in years.
Biden made the campaign promise to end fossil fuels in the United States saying,
“No more subsidies for the fossil fuel industry! No more drilling on federal lands! No more drilling, including offshore! No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period. [It] ends. Number one!”
Biden recently told those who could not afford to fill up their tank, simply to buy an electric car, as he double downed on his war on American energy,
“Loosening environmental regulations won’t lower prices. But transforming our economy to run on electric vehicles, powered by clean energy, will mean that no one will have to worry about gas prices. It will mean tyrants like Putin won’t be able to use fossil fuels as a weapon.”
Biden said that households could save $80 a month if they purchased an electric car.
