Billionaire businessman Elon Musk has fired Twitter’s top Attorney for allegedly attempting to suppress the ‘Twitter Files’ that Musk released via Matt Taibbi.
Those documents detailed the Biden Administration’s collusion with high ranking Twitter officials to censor conservative thought, suspend conservative accounts and block the Hunter Biden Laptop story that was published by The Post in the weeks before the 2020 Presidential election.
Musk made the announcement via his Twitter account saying, “In light of concerns about Baker’s possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue, he was exited from Twitter today”

Taibbi, who published the ‘Twitter Files’ via his account broke the news on Tuesday that Jim Baker, Twitter’s Deputy General Counsel, had ‘vetted’ what information was or wasn’t shared with Taibbi with-out Musk knowing about it.
Musk revealed that he questioned Baker about the alleged suppression of information but said Baker’s explanation was “unconvincing,” posting,
Yes. His explanation was …unconvincing.

Shortly thereafter, Taibbi started another Twitter thread calling it “Twitter Files Supplemental.” This thread explained why part two of the ‘Twitter files’ was delayed,
“On Friday, the first installment of the Twitter files was published here. We expected to publish more over the weekend. Many wondered why there was a delay. We can now tell you part of the reason why. On Tuesday, Twitter Deputy General Counsel (and former FBI General Counsel) Jim Baker was fired. Among the reasons? Vetting the first batch of ‘Twitter Files’ – without knowledge of new management.”
Taibbi continued, “The process for producing the ‘Twitter Files’ involved delivery to two journalists (Bari Weiss and me) via a lawyer close to new management. However, after the initial batch, things became complicated. Over the weekend, while we both dealt with obstacles to new searches, it was @BariWeiss who discovered that the person in charge of releasing the files was someone named Jim. When she called to ask ‘Jim’s’ last name, the answer came back: ‘Jim Baker.’
“‘My jaw hit the floor,’ says Weiss,” Taibbi wrote.
Taibbi then shared a screen shot saying “The first batch of files both reporters received was marked, “Spectra Baker Emails.”

Taibbi went on to explain Baker’s checkered past,
“Baker is a controversial figure. He has been something of a Zelig of FBI controversies dating back to 2016, from the Steele Dossier to the Alfa-Server mess. He resigned in 2018 after an investigation into leaks to the press. The news that Baker was reviewing the ‘Twitter files’ surprised everyone involved, to say the least. New Twitter chief Elon Musk acted quickly to ‘exit’ Baker Tuesday.” Taibbi continued,
“Reporters resumed searches through Twitter Files material – a lot of it – today. The next installment of ‘The Twitter Files’ will appear @bariweiss. Stay tuned,” Taibbi teased.
Weiss responded to the thread saying, “It’s been quite a weekend.”
Baker served as general counsel for the FBI during former Director James Comey’s tenure, he aided into the Russian collusion hoax and worked closely with anti-Trump FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Paige.
