Agents Repel From Blackhawks In Chicago ICE Raid, Arrest Tren de Aragua Gang Members

Over 300 federal agents, some repelling down from Blackhawks, raided an apartment in Chicago, and arrested dozens of Tren de Aragua gang members

The raid targeted the five-story building where officials say the Venezuelan-based gang had turned the complex into a hub for terrorizing residents and running illegal operations.

Designated as a foreign terrorist organization the gang has been linked to a wave of extortion, human trafficking, and violence across multiple cities.

No local Chicago police were involved, because Mayor Brandon Johnson has refused to work with ICE and Chicago is a sanctuary city.

To make sure none of the illegal migrant criminals escaped, snipers and agents rappelled down from hovering Black Hawk helicopters onto the building’s roof, while ground teams sealed off streets and evacuated nearby residents.

At least 30 people— all illegal migrants—were arrested and transported to an ICE facility in Broadview for processing.

The primary targets were six high-priority suspects with confirmed ties to Tren de Aragua, however dozens more alleged gang members were arrested on site.

The raid was part of Operation Midway Blitz – which rounds up illegal migrant criminals in Chicago and throughout Illinois, where sanctuary policies have protected them from deportation.
