The armed 37-year-old white man who was fatally shot in Minneapolis intended to massacre law enforcement, according to DHS
Homeland security asserting that Alex Pretti approached border agents, in an attempt to intervene in an operation, saying
“he approached with a handgun and two magazines”
“This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to cause maximum damage and MASSACRE law enforcement.”
The suspect had “Two magazines, and no ID.”
“The officers tried to disarm him but he “violently resisted.”
DHS went on to say that
“Fearing for his life and others…an agent fired defensive shots. Medics were on-scene immediately delivered medical aid to that subject, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.”
According to officials:
Alex Pretti.
Was an ICU nurse, he was issued a license to be a registered nurse in 2021
Pretti previously attended the University of Minnesota.
And he had “no serious criminal history.”
Pretti was also a member of an anti-ICE ‘rapid response’ Signal chat group that was used by agitators to monitor, track, and coordinate resistance to ICE operations, including telling members where to find agents, doxxing officials, swarming sites to interfere with enforcement, and organizing protests or confrontations.
According to Cam Higby – who infiltrated the signal chat groups – Pretti got alerts through that chat group about ICE – which led him to the scene where he confronted federal agents and was fatally shot.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem saying,
“This individual showed up to a law enforcement operation with a weapon and dozens of rounds of ammunition. He wasn’t there to peacefully protest.”
Adding,
“You can NOT impede law enforcement. You comply with orders, NOT show up with weapons, no ID, and no indication of how they’ll be used. Laying hands on police is a crime.”
“And frankly, she said, this didn’t turn violent until we uncovered the fraud in Minneapolis”
“These are not just agitators anymore, they’re violent protests”
“One officer had his finger bitten clean off by an agitator yesterday… Have you heard from any of the Democrat leadership in Minnesota about that?”
“No. They haven’t expressed any concern for injuries to our officers.”
