FBI Leak On Trump Mar-A-Lago Raid: Prosecutors Found No Discernible Business Interest In The Documents Seized

Just one week after the mid-term elections, The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) has told the Washington Post that they do not believe Donald Trump’s Motive for allegedly taking classified documents had anything to do with business interests.

According to ‘people familiar with the matter’ Federal agents believe that Trump had a desire to hold on to the documents as ‘trophies’ or ‘mementos,’ and not because of a more sinister motive.

The report states that federal authorities could not find any type of pattern or similarities in the documents that were found and the review failed to find any ‘apparent business advantage’ to the types of alleged classified information contained in the documents found at Trump’s private Mar-a-Lago residence.

In addition, FBI interviews have come up empty with witnesses saying that Trump did not try to ‘leverage, sell or use’ government secrets. On the contrary, interviews indicate that Trump seemed ‘motivated by a more basic desire not to give up what he believed was his property.’

The report goes on to say that a pair of former advisers to the President said Trump ‘often threw hundreds of pieces of paper in boxes — mixing in highly sensitive documents with years-old schedules and other mundane material.’
