The office of Governor Greg Abbott is sending their ‘Beto Truth Response Unit’ to the Democrat Convention in Dallas, Texas in an effort to combat what they call outright lies from Texas Gubernatorial candidate Robert Francis O’Rourke.
The response unit is a Ford F-350 that has been transformed into a vehicle that resembles an ambulance. It showcases an image of O’Rourke, has a ‘BetoLies.com’ banner across the cab and is capped off with a ‘Mission Critical’ sign on the back doors.

On a conference call with reporters this week Dave Carney, Gov. Abbott’s Chief Political Strategist, said the response unit will counter O’Rourke when he tries to ‘flip-flop’ on key issues,
“One thing that has been consistent since the beginning of his campaign is his inconsistency,”
Carney added that O’Rourke takes different positions on key issues based on the zip code he is speaking in at the time,
“He talks to his crowd. Beto changes depending on what city he is in,” Carney said, “He was a spectacular disaster running for President. He likes to talk a lot and it’s all on video. It’s only the idiots [O’Rourke] that think voters are so stupid that they [O’Rourke’s team] can say one thing in the primary and another in the General Election.’
Also announced during the conference call is the launch of a billboard series called “Team BIDO, Wrong for Texas.”
Team BIDO Billboard Series To Appear Along I-35
The Governors team said the billboards will appear on I-35 between Austin and Dallas. They will focus on tying O’Rourke to President Joe Biden’s failed policies that have been wildly unpopular with Americans and have led to record low approval ratings in all demographics.
According to a recent Civiqs Poll Biden’s overall approval rating has plummeted to 30% with a whopping 57% of Americans saying they disapprove of the President.
Carney said that while O’Rourke follows the Biden administration in their efforts to hammer away at second amendment rights and restore abortion, Gov. Abbott will focus on issues that actually matter to the people of Texas such as food shortages and record high gas prices,
“These are the issues that people talk about at the coffee room at the office or talk about at the waiting room to get their cars fixed and talk about at their tables.”
Carney referred to the report released this week indicating inflation has reached a new 40-year-high of 9.1%.
He also said the Gov. will continue to focus on the parental bill of rights, securing the border, dealing with law enforcement and the Fentanyl Crisis that is being fueled by the unprecedented crisis at the Southern Border.
In fact, Gov. Abbott plans to hold a news conference at the Texas Department of Public Safety’s drug warehouse & crime lab on Thursday to address “the growing fentanyl crisis plaguing Texas & the nation as a result of Biden’s refusal to secure the border.”
The Abbott campaign has also launched a website BetoLies.Com which highlights some of O’Rourkes most egregious ‘lies’ including his change in stance on illegal migrants,
“Beto O’Rourke flip-flopped on amnesty for illegal immigrants, going from seeking to grant citizenship to all illegal immigrants currently in the United States to instead opposing full legalization. Once again Beto shows there’s no issue too big or too small to flip-flop on.”
