#new Hakeem Jeffries swore under oath that “not a single undocumented immigrant in this country gets a dime of federal taxpayer dollars for any part of Medicaid coverage.”
However, audits appear to prove that Jeffries may have lied under oath.
The House Minority Leader made the statements late last year, when Republicans were trying to pass a clean CR to keep the government funded.
Democrats including Jeffries voted against the CR because they were demanding that the cuts made to Medicaid (to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse) be restored
Now, many are saying that Jeffries lied under oath – pointing to recent data discovered during an audit by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
Here are some of the early findings from a handful of states audited:
CA – $1,310,032,549 (1.3 billion)
DC – $2,114,628.00 2 million
IL – $29,778,645.00 Illinois almost 30 million
WA – $2,367,194.00 about 2.5 million
CO – $1,506,743.00 1.5 million
OR – $5,404,368.00 5 million***
Dr. Oz saying,
“Earlier this year, the CMS team began auditing state Medicaid programs to ensure they were following the law and not spending any federal tax dollars on illegal immigrants outside of emergency Medicaid. What we found was shocking.”
“In a preliminary review of 6 states, we found those states improperly using federal tax dollars for their allegedly state-funded program and providing coverage to individuals, including some with criminal records of murder and assault.”
Those states are:
“We notified the states, and many have started refunding the money” a clear admission of guilt.
“Whether willful or not, the states’ conduct highlights a terrifying reality: American taxpayers have been footing the bill for illegal migrants’ Medicaid coverage, despite many Democrats and the media insisting otherwise.”
This traces back to September when Democrats wanted to restore benefits for “lawfully present” immigrants like DACA recipients.
Republicans said they just wanted to continue giving illegal migrants free healthcare – something Jeffries said was “a lie.”
