#new A Homeowner called ICE on 6 Illegal migrants from Guatemala who showed up to remodel her home – they were detained and are facing deportation
The Maryland homeowner had previously warned Bryan Polanco, a legal permanent resident from the dominican and coworker of the illegals, that if illegal migrants were sent out for the job on her home, she would call ICE
According to Polanco, he told his coworkers, but they decided to show up for the job anyway.
She followed through with her warning and called ICE when they showed up and started working.
The operation was captured live on video for about 30 minutes by Polanco
He streamed the agents’ arrival, the illegal migrants removal from the roof, and their transport, saying that the homeowner called ICE right after the crew started work that morning.
The six illegals were men between the ages of 18 and 40.
Associates and co-workers confirmed that they were in the country illegally.
Polanco said that the homeowner told him “If immigrants come back again to finish the project, she will always call ICE.”
There weren’t any protests during the arrests, no violence or resistance reported. The illegals were peacefully detained.
Claims that the homeowner waited until the job was ‘nearly done’ so she didn’t have to pay the ‘$10,000 owed for the 3-day job’ are unsubstantiated.
Polanco said the project “began” that day, and was not wrapping up.
He did not mention any payment dispute, dollar amount, or contract details.
Other details like the homeowner provided the ladder specifically to detain workers or the van was left open with “thousands of dollars in tools” inside, were not mentioned in Polanco’s account, court filings or ICE statements.
Polanco was also at the scene, and able to collect the company’s tools as he was not detained.
