Immigration and Customs Enforcement is fighting back against a DHS report that claimed conditions in a New Mexico Facility were unsafe and unsanitary
In a letter addressed to the Inspector General, the acting ICE Chief said that leadership had serious concerns about the accuracy and integrity of the report which called for the immediate relocation of all illegal migrants being held at the Torrance County Detention Facility in New Mexico.
The letter accused the Office of the Inspector General of ignoring facts and falsifying evidence meaning that the OIG allegedly staged the pictures used in the report.
In addition, ICE accused the OIG inspector’s behavior of “very disconcerting and unprofessional.”
The Detention Facility in Estancia, is privately run under contract for ICE.
