The Illegal migrant from Mexico who said she was ‘kidnapped’ by ICE admits the entire story was a lie.
The woman – Julie Calderon- has been arrested for the scheme in which she claimed she was kidnapped by ICE from an L.A. Jack in the Box and held in a warehouse. However, investigators say she was free the entire time and using her iPhone.
The Feds say Calderon even had pictures ready showing her face with dirt on it, which they think was done to make her look like she was being held in custody and mistreated.
In the picture she was also wearing a necklace , but investigators say that necklace would have been removed if she had been detained.
Calderon went as far as to file a false police report, set up a Go Fund Me and hold a fake news conference complete with democrat activists supporting her.
Calderon faces federal charges including conspiracy to commit a hoax and is facing 10 years behind bars.
The U.S. Attorney’s office described it as a ‘Well orchestrated conspiracy’ and additional co-conspirators are expected to be charged.
