Man Who Shot Up ICE Facility Fixated On Violent Video Games – Spent 17K Hours Online

The man police say shot up an ICE facility and van in Dallas Texas – Joshua Jahn – is a gamer that racked up more than 17 thousand hours playing violent video games before the shooting.

The 29-year-old gunman with a fixation on violent video games focused on playing violent “first-person shooter” and survival games, as revealed by his Steam account.

Since creating the account in September 2011, Jahn spent 729 days of gameplay— which is equivalent to more than two years.

Jahn was known online as “SAM I Am” and “Frank Hoenikker”

He devoted nearly 7,000 hours to the open-world survival game Rust, where players compete to survive in a brutal environment.

His mother has been revealed to be a democrat who often took aim at republican politicians online, like Governor Greg Abbott and Senator Ted Cruz, attacking them for their pro-second amendment policy stances.
