Marjorie Taylor Greene is introducing a bill to BAN spraying toxic chemicals in the sky saying,
‘We must end the dangerous and deadly practice of weather modification and geoengineering.’
The bill prohibits the injection, release, or dispersion of chemicals or substances into the atmosphere for the express purpose of altering weather, temperature, climate, or sunlight intensity. If it passes, spraying chemicals in the sky, will be a felony offense.
Greene says she’s been researching weather modification and working with the legislative counsel for months writing the bill which will be similar to Florida’s Senate Bill 56.
SB 56 criminalizes unauthorized geoengineering and weather modification activities, such as cloud seeding, with penalties including fines up to $100,000 and up to five years in prison
Cloud seeding, is a weather modification technique that has been used since the 1940s.
It modifies weather to make more rain, or snow by releasing chemicals like silver iodide or dry ice into clouds to stimulate precipitation.
Silver iodide, the most common seeding agent, is potentially toxic, especially if accumulated over time.
Experts say more rain in one area may limit rainfall in other areas causing droughts or altering natural weather patterns.
Excessive rainfall from seeding can lead to soil erosion, flooding, or landslides.
