According to U.S. intelligence officials, more than 170,000 illegal migrants are expected to cross into the United States in a “Mass Migration Event.”
The event is expected to happen when the Biden Administration rescinds Title 42, which was a policy put in place by President rump and allowed officials to expel illegal migrants because of the covid-19 outbreak. If Biden ends the measure Border Patrol Agents and CBP officers will be forced to deal with an unprecedented surge of migrants, hence the DHS’s call for a volunteer force.
According to a report by Axios, 25,000 migrants are already waiting in Mexico, in anticipation of the end of Title 42. Authorities are concerned that Mexican Cartels and Human Smuggling networks will also take advantage and generate the massive migration event once Biden makes his move.
