Talks between members of the Senate and organizers of the People’s Convoy are officially underway. The People’s Convoy and the Northeast Convoy were joined by the Northwest convoy last night and all three rolled out onto the D.C. Beltway earlier today.
This as leaders of the convoys met with members of Congress to address overreaching government control and excessive mandates. They were also very clear on what the movement is all about.
“We openly said to anybody and everybody here that this is not a this is not a left issue, this is not a right issue, this is an American issue. We are by no means leaning to the right or to the left on this topic. This is a people’s movement. There are people in our convoy right now that are Democrats there are Republicans there are independents there are libertarians or constitutionalists. There are people that don’t affiliate with either party in any way shape or form, they just believe in their God given rights and that’s why they’re a part of this. We would love the opportunity to speak to the administration personally. We would love the opportunity to speak with any member of the house and any member of the Senate. We would love that opportunity. Come hear the stories of these people. Come down to the Convoy at night and speak to these drivers one on one.”
At the roundtable, Senator Ron Johnson out of Wisconsin said these truckers are making huge sacrifices in standing up for freedom,
“We’ve already seen tears that we didn’t expect. That doesn’t surprise me at all. These are powerful stories so I want you to listen to their stories. I want you to hear why they have done this. Why they have risked -in many cases- their career in this universal fight for freedom. That’s what this is all about. It’s very simple.”
Then Senator Ted Cruz out of Texas took the stage slamming critics of the convoy who claimed there’s nothing for the truckers to fight for,
“In crisis, character reveals itself and in the age of COVID we have seen too many petty tyrants who believe they have the power to make personal health care decisions for you and even worse to make healthcare decisions for your kids, your 5 year old children at home. The federal government has no business telling parents they gotta give a 5 year old child a COVID vaccine. You know, two years ago when this pandemic started we had lots of politicians giving speeches about Heros. You heard about the heroes, you heard about them as everything was shut down. Let me say shutting everything down was idiotic, but as everything was shut down you had truck drivers that were the heroes moving the supply chain, making sure we get food making sure we had the supplies we need. We had Good cops and firefighters on the front lines. You have nurses and doctors at the beginning of the pandemic risking their lives when we didn’t understand what we were dealing with. What an amazing shift we’ve had. Two years later there are politicians from local mayors all the way up to the president of the United states who were saying fire the cops and firefighters fire the soldiers and sailors and airmen and marines who are defending our country fired, the doctors and nurses who are on the front lines fighting COVID are fired, the truck drivers – look just a few weeks ago the eyes of the world were on the Canadian truckers. That convoy to our neighbor up north was powerful and they spoke out for freedom. The People’s convoy continues that legacy.”
The American truckers originally took to the highways to support Canadian truckers who publicly protested the vaccine mandate that’s still being imposed on foreign essential workers many of whom cannot earn a living because of that mandate

WHO WE ARE: We are truckers, moms, students, nurses, doctors, investors, county workers, teachers, cowboys, loggers, engineers, sanitation workers, professors, cashiers, flight attendants, pilots, sales reps, physical therapists. WE ARE immigrants, natives: WE ARE citizens of the free world.
To our elected officials that believe they rule us: YOU work for US. Our constitution was written to provide enough power to act on a national level, but not enough to deprive the people of fundamental rights. The people are prepared to see this challenge through — as we have seen through all challenges to our Freedom in the past. And we will prevail and prosper.
To our brave and courageous neighbors to the North — our Canadian brothers and sisters who led the charge — we join your call to Freedom with THE PEOPLE’S CONVOY.
