A Career spy at the top of Venezuela’s regime says it runs drugs, gangs & spies in the US, while US diplomats & CIA officers work with Maduro to keep the criminal pipeline going.
The former head of Military Intelligence and in the National Assembly for nearly a decade, General Hugo Carvajal Barrios, also describes how the election software Smartmatic, developed in Venezuela, is used to change elections.
General Barrios has released a detailed public letter to President Donald Trump – from federal custody.
Barrios, who pleaded guilty in June to narco-terrorism charges and faces life in prison, says the letter is a voluntary confession and national-security warning to President Trump and the American public.
In the letter, Barrios says Trump’s Venezuela policy is “not only correct but absolutely necessary” and says there are moles in the US government that have been working with and protecting the Maduro regime for decades.
In the letter, Barrios claims:
The Chávez and Maduro governments changed Venezuela into a narco-terrorist state in the mid-2000s, with Cuban intelligence designing a strategy to weaponize cocaine trafficking against the United States.
The operation worked with Colombian guerrillas, Cuban DGI officers, and Hezbollah t*rrorists who were given a safe place to stay and logistical support inside Venezuela.
The criminal gang Tren de Aragua was created under Chávez and later expanded under Maduro as a regime-controlled paramilitary force.
Its members were deliberately sent into the United States during the Biden-era border surge to engage in extortion, kidnapping, and m*rder on American soil.
Venezuelan and Cuban intelligence services have infiltrated the United States with thousands of agents, some posing as members of the Venezuelan opposition or as migrants.
U.S. diplomats and CIA personnel accepted bribes to protect the Chávez and Maduro regimes from sanctions and law-enforcement pressure.
Some of these people, Barrios claims, remain in active positions.
Election software company Smartmatic was developed in Venezuela under direct regime oversight for the explicit purpose of manipulating vote counts.
Carvajal said the technology was later exported, including to the US and has been used to alter election outcomes.
Russian intelligence proposed tapping undersea internet cables to Venezuela in the 2000s.
Carvajal says he personally warned Maduro in 2015 that Russia’s secret signals-intelligence base on La Orchila Island risked provoking U.S. military action.
China, Russia, and international Islamic terror networks are actively seeking strategic real estate and influence along Venezuela’s coast, creating a direct national-security threat to the continental United States.
Carvajal offers to give additional classified information to U.S. authorities and calls for a full investigation into American officials who he alleges protected the Venezuelan narco-regime.
