President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to slam Joe Biden and the “flimsy, unlocked, and unsecured” Wilmington, Delaware, garage and former offices where classified documents were found.
The White House and U.S. Secret Service said Monday they do not maintain visitor logs for Joe Biden’s home in Wilmington, Del., a day after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., called for their release.
Comer sent a letter to White House chief of staff Ron Klain asking for the visitor logs as the Justice Department and House Republicans investigate Biden’s mishandling of classified documents after three different stashes of classified documents were found. The White House acknowledged over the weekend that more classified documents were found at Biden’s Delaware home than had been previously disclosed.
In his letter to Klain, Comer said: “Given the serious national security implications, the White House must provide the Wilmington residence’s visitor log.”
Trump responded to the lack of logs by saying,
“The White House just announced that there are no LOGS or information of any kind on visitors to the Wilmington house and flimsy, unlocked, and unsecured, but now very famous, garage. Maybe they are smarter than we think!” Trump posted Monday morning on Truth Social.
“This is one of [the] seemingly many places where HIGHLY CLASSIFIED documents are stored (in a big pile on the damp floor). Mar-a-Lago is a highly secured facility, with Security Cameras all over the place, and watched over by staff & our great Secret Service. I have INFO on everyone!”
