A pair of men who helped organize fundraisers for Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib out of Michigan in a previous campaign had positions with nonprofit groups that were found liable for financing the killing of an American teenager by a federal jury.
According to a report by the Washington Examiner, Rafeeq Jaber testified in 2003 that he served as the President of the American Muslim Society, A.K.A the Islamic Association for Palestine. Jaber also was a member of a Hosting Committee for a fundraiser held in 2018 for Tlaib.
Salah Sarsour co-hosted a fundraising event for the Michigan Representative the same year and also raised money for the Holy Land Foundation.
The Islamic Association for Palestine and the Holy Land Foundation were found liable in 2004 for helping to finance the killing of David Boim, an American teenager who was shot and killed by a member of Hamas in 1996.
