Watch: Chilling Uvalde Surveillance Video Shows Gunman Entering Classroom, Police Response

The surveillance video from inside Robb Elementary school on the day of the mass shooting that killed 19 children and two teachers has been obtained by The Austin American-Statesman.

Portions of the chilling 77-minute video were published and show the gunman walking down the hallway of the Uvalde, Texas elementary school, entering a classroom and opening fire.

The edited video is about four minutes long and starts with teachers screaming as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos crashes his truck, shoots at two people outside of the school, then casually walks across the parking lot shooting at the school.

Ramos can then be seen entering into the elementary through a side door.

Once inside, hallway surveillance video shows the gunman walking down the hallway with a semi-automatic rifle at 11:33 a.m.

25 seconds later an eruption of gunfire can be heard as the suspect enters the classroom. At the same time a child can be seen on the opposite side of the hallway running away.. The paper indicated that they edited the child’s screams from the video.

The gunfire continued inside the two classrooms for two and a half minutes. Authorities say more than 100 rounds were fired.

At 11:36 a.m. police can be seen running inside the school and down the hallway with their guns drawn. A few of the officers rush towards the classroom, gunfire can still be heard.

At about 11:37 the first shots that appear to be directed at law enforcement ring out. At that point officers can be seen running back down to the other end of the hallway. 19 minutes later more law enforcement enters the building some carrying ballistic shields.

In the video, 48 minutes passes by showing law enforcement huddled at the end of the hallway and around the school, appearing to discuss a plan and or wait for further instruction.

At 12:21 more gunfire erupts from inside the classroom. At this point a team heads down the hallway towards the classroom. However, the video shows that the door to the classroom was not breached for another 30 minutes.

The video was obtained as the Texas House committee investigating the school shooting. state Rep. Dustin Burrows said they have plans to release the entire video to the families of the victims on Sunday, then to the public shortly there after.
