357 members—182 Democrats and 175 Republicans—voted to refer the resolution to the Ethics Committee, effectively killing it and keeping the records hidden.
Meanwhile, Rep. Ana Paulina Luna slammed her colleagues for the “hypocritical” vote saying these types of actions are the reason Americans hate congress.
Luna’s comments came during a House Oversight Committee hearing, where she criticized both parties for blocking the bill that would expose the “slush funds” used to pay off assault claims, watch,
