149 Republicans Vote To Send $40 Billion To Ukraine As Inflation Barrels Ahead To 8.3%, Remains At 40 Year High

149 Republicans, along with all Democrats voted Tuesday night to sent another $40 Billion to Ukraine despite Biden already sending tens of Billions to the country.

Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnel were included in those Republicans who voted to send money to help foreigners while Americans are suffering from skyrocketing food, gas and housing prices and Parents are scrambling to find baby formula to feed their babies.

In fact, inflation continues to rise according to the latest report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The consumer price index jumped 8.3% from a year ago which is close to the highest level since the summer of 1982.

This means that Americans are paying 9.4% higher prices for food, 30.3% more for energy and 5.1% more for apartments and homes.

The mainstream media is reporting that March marked the ‘peak’ for inflation, however, Wall Street expected 8.1% and the core CPI – which doesn’t account for food and energy prices – still rose 6.2%, instead of the expeted 6%.

The Federal Reserve has tried to offset inflation by dishing out two interest rate hikes this year, making it more expensive for people to buy homes, hoping the move will bring inflation down to 2%.

However, the April report showed that inflation will linger around for the foreseeable future, according to Seema Shah, chief strategist at Principal Global Investors.

In addition to food, gas and housing airline prices continue to skyrocket rising 18.6% on the month, and up 33.3% over the past year.

Even though Americans are struggling to buy food, gas and their pay rent / mortgage – the Democrat led congress continues to send more money to Ukraine.

Nancy Pelosi even quoted the bible when speaking on the house floor in favor of more big government spending – which is paid for by American taxpayers – to help Ukraine in their conflict with Russia.

“When you’re home thinking about [what $40 billion to Ukraine] is all about, just think about ‘when I was hungry, you fed me’ from the Gospel of Matthew,” Pelosi said.

Panicked parents across the nation are asking for that same empathy as they struggle to find baby formula to feed their infants.

The bill now goes to the Senate for vote.
