20 illegal migrants, including minors, were found stashed in the sleeper compartment of a semi-truck in Texas.
DPS Troopers caught 25-year-old Miguel Angel Velazquez Chavez – a Mexican National – trying to smuggle the illegals into the interior of the country.
It happened Monday night when Troopers conducted an Operation Lone Star traffic stop in Webb County.
The driver, Velazquez Chavez , immediately jumped out of the truck and tried to run on foot, made it over some rail road tracks, but was tackled and arrested.
Troopers searched the truck and found the illegals – from Mexico and Guatemala – crammed inside. Four of the illegals were minors and all were turned over to Border Patrol
- Velazquez Chavez is being charged with evading arrest and smuggling of persons.
President Trump has essentially closed down the border for illegal migrant entry – something Democrats swore could only be done through Congress.
In fact, border crossings are at historic lows with apprehensions at about 6,000- 8,000 a month. The Trump administration has allowed exactly Zero migrants into the country since Trump took office. Every illegal migrant is processed and removed.
Which is a dramatic shift from the Biden administration where in 2023 alone almost 2.5 million illegals came into or were released into the country – not including got-aways
- During the Biden era, between 250,000 and 300,000 illegals were crossing the border each month.
- Nearly every illegal encountered was released into the US – with some experts saying upwards of 20 million illegals were allowed into the country during his tenure.
