Biden’s DOJ Arrested & Jailed At Least 8 Conservative Journalists

#news Remember when Joe Biden’s DOJ and Wray’s FBI arrested & jailed at least 8 conservative journalists who were covering Jan 6 at the Capitol.

#DC

They walked in with camera’s & were interviewing protesters.

As the outrage continues by the mainstream media and democrats over the arrest of Don Lemon – who allegedly kept the location of the church Anti-ICE agitators were storming private, kissed the anti-ICE leader on camera and said things like ‘people need to feel uncomfortable during the riot’

Many are pointing out that there was no democrat outrage when multiple journalists were jailed during the Biden administration.

Critics say the Biden arrests reeked of political retribution.

Owen Shroyer, a host for the conservative outlet Infowars, became one of the most prominent examples of this crackdown.

Shroyer did not enter the Capitol but was covering the protests from outside.

Even though he cooperated fully and did not take part in the protest, the DOJ wanted to put him behind bars for four months for the misdemeanor he was charged with for covering the event.

He ultimately took a plea deal to avoid a lengthy and expensive legal battle.****

Details

Pleaded guilty in June 2023 to one misdemeanor count of illegally entering a restricted area

Sentenced to 60 days in federal prison, 12 months of supervised release and a $500 fine, handed down by Judge Timothy Kelly.

Shroyer maintained he was there as a journalist covering the rally, not participating, and had covered multiple events in D.C.

Stephen Horn, an independent journalist was jailed for documenting the events inside the Capitol.

Horn, who filmed the chaos without engaging, argued he was acting as a reporter to capture history.

Despite his journalist status, prosecutors pushed for a 10-month prison sentence.***

Details:

Four misdemeanors, including entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly conduct in a restricted area, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and parading or demonstrating in the Capitol.

Found guilty in September 2023, sentenced to 12 months of probation, a $2,000 fine, and 90 hours of community service.

Horn entered then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office, something he recorded on his own footage, which he gave to the FBI.

Claimed protections under laws allowing journalists to document events,

The court ruled this did not exempt him from trespassing laws.

Steve Baker, a Blaze Media investigative reporter, entered the Capitol to film the events, and  turned his footage over to the FBI voluntarily.

Even so, he was arrested in March 2024 during his ongoing exposés on January 6 irregularities, including claims of FBI misconduct.

The timing raised red flags , with critics saying Biden was retaliating for his reporting that challenged administration Narratives.***

Details:

Four misdemeanors, for trespassing, entering a restricted building, and disorderly conduct in the Capitol.

Surrendered to the FBI, was handcuffed and had leg irons shackled on

Pleaded guilty in November 2024 to avoid harsher sentence.

President Trump’s pardon spared Baker from potential prison time.

While behind bars, Baker said he saw 60 other journalists who were present without facing charges.

Biden’s DOJ appeared to target right-leaning or unaffiliated journalists who challenged official narratives, including:

Samuel Montoya (Infowars video editor): Arrested on charges including impeding passage through Capitol grounds.

He argued he was there to record, but prosecutors said this did not exempt him from trespassing laws.

Elliot Resnick (former chief editor of The Jewish Press, an Orthodox Jewish newspaper):

Arrested in 2023 on charges of civil disorder and interfering with law enforcement officers protecting the Capitol.

Video evidence showed him inside the building near East Rotunda doors.

The court dismissed the journalist defense, saying he joined the crowd of Trump supporters.

John Earle Sullivan (Identified as an activist and journalist):

Charged with civil disorder, violent entry, and disorderly conduct.

He filmed events inside the Capitol and sold footage to outlets like The New York Times and HBO, but was prosecuted as a protester rather than acknowledged as protected press.

Tim “Baked Alaska” Gionet (Internet personality and live streamer):

Arrested shortly after January 6 for streaming inside the Capitol.

He faced charges despite describing his actions as a journalist through his online broadcasts.
