11 guns, including the stolen handgun used by Jasmine Crockett’s Security Guard during the standoff with SWAT –have been recovered.
Dallas police saying the guns were found during their investigation Jasmine Crockett’s security guard Diamon Mazairre Robinson – AKA Mike King.
Rep.Crockett (D-TX) issued a statement defending Robinson after he was shot and K*lled by Dallas Police SWAT during a standoff.
She said that her office’s initial review of his limited criminal history in Dallas County didn’t find any violent offenses”
Authorities also said that he was driving a vehicle with stolen government plates, had worn uniforms while impersonating a law enforcement officer, and operated a fraudulent business that connected legitimate police officers to off-duty security jobs under misleading pretenses.
Robinson was wanted on multiple felony warrants at the time, along with a parole violation warrant –
Dallas police released the video of the shooting showing that Robinson, was repeatedly told not to reach for his gun, but he did anyway, pulling it out and briefly pointing it at officers before he was shot.
The standoff lasted about two hours. Officers had to deploy tear gas to gete Robinson out of his vehicle, that was parked in a garage near Children’s Medical Center.
After the shooting, authorities found the weapons, fake IDs, and fake law enforcement badges in his vehicle and apartment.
The 39-year-old had a lengthy criminal history that included felony and misdemeanor charges for theft, probation violations and tampering with a government record.
He also had an active warrant for theft of checks at a hotel where he worked security in the past and was wanted for impersonating a police officer.****
Criminal History / Prior Arrests –
2011 – Auto Theft conviction, sentenced to 10 years. Served under one year.
2014 – Auto Theft, active warrant for insufficient bond.
2016 – Theft (cashing forged checks) – Warrant issued in 2017 was active.
2017 – Theft (House lease scam) / Tampering with Government Record (warrants returned due to statute of limitations.)
Robinson also had an active parole violation.
