Obama and Biden flew about 120,00 migrants from the Congo and resettled them across the United States as part of the US Refugee Admissions Program created by President Jimmy Carter.
In 1980, Jimmy Carter signed a law to give refugees an expedited path to citizenship along with the following benefits
Lawful permanent resident status after one year. After that, they can naturalize as U.S. citizens
Voting rights after the refugees were naturalized
Once naturalized, the refugees can sit on a jury and can decide whether Americans are guilty or not guilty.
Once naturalized refugees can become judges
Refugees can serve as police officers with the power to arrest Americans.
Free medical care
Free housing
Free food all allegedly for a limited time
Free education public K-12 schools and adult Job training & English classes up to 5 years.
Preferences in hiring and university admissions
Chain migration for their extended families
Once refugees become permanent residents or citizens, they can sponsor spouses, children, parents, and other relatives.
This creates a legal path for more family members to come later.
