#new Democratic Socialists of America said government should own corporations, there should be no prisons, no borders, no Senate, no ICE, no Pentagon, and all illegals in the country should be given amnesty.

National co-chair Megan Romer said the DSA also wants to replace the presidency and Supreme Court.

Republicans are warning about socialism that leads to communism.
They say DSA’s platform is to dismantle the constitutional structure of the United States.
Senate Republicans add that DSA wants to run the country like a Cuban-style system stripped of checks and balances.
Conservative analysts say that abolishing the Senate would erase equal state representation.
And that subordinating the executive and judiciary to a single legislature would eliminate separation of powers, and that ending borders and ICE while granting blanket amnesty would erase the distinction between citizen and non-citizen.
They also point out that public ownership of major corporations is the textbook definition of socialism and that defunding the Pentagon would leave the country unable to defend itself.
