#new A grown man who was caught on camera violently shoving a young female journalist to the ground – from behind – is now complaining that people are being so mean to him, its left him “overwhelmed”
The initial attack happened on April 11 outside the Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis during a “F*** ICE” protest.
Savanah Hernandez, a reporter with TPUSA, who was filming the protest, was surrounded by anti-ICE agitators and then attacked.
Three members of the Ostroushko family kicked it into high gear.
The daughter Paige first blew a whistle about half an inch away from her ear and followed her, pushing her down into a fence as she was trying to walk away.
Then Paige and her mother DeYanna were seen both jumping Hernandez at the same time, knocking her to the ground and appeared to punch her.
Other people had to pull the mother daughter duo off of Hernandez.
That’s when Chris, Paige’s father came up behind Hernandez and violently pushed her in the back, and down to the ground.
Directly following the attack, Chris Ostroushko claimed
“We are absolutely not violent people. In fact, we tend to shy away from it.”
“We stayed back and kind of watched what was going on.”
However, Video evidence shows he was not telling the truth.
DeYanna Ostroushko claimed Hernandez started the fight by assaulting Paige first – again the video tells a different story.
Now, Chris Ostroushko is complaining about the backlash, and saying he is the victim,
“It’s a little overwhelming and makes me second-guess even living in this country, to be honest with you, with all that’s going on. I’ve never had this happen in my life.”
He said his family has received hundreds of calls, texts, and messages, and they feel doxed.
The family continues to paint themselves as the “real” victims in interviews, claiming job losses and harassment.
A GoFundMe was launched and raised a few hundred dollars before it was reportedly taken down. The page described the incident as,
“One of the most overwhelming and life-altering moments” they have ever experienced.
Critics say this fits the playbook of the left, act violently against conservatives, then complain, act shocked and play the victim when held accountable
They point out that Hernandez, a college-aged woman, was outnumbered and targeted for her conservative views.
