#new The Southern Poverty Law Center, which has been indicted on 11 counts including wire fraud, is taking some heat for having over $100 Million in offshore accounts across the Cayman Islands, BVI, & Bermuda.
According to the group’s 2014 and 2015 tax documents:
The SPLC has “financial interests” in entities in those offshore areas
In 2014 alone, the group reported sending more than $5.6 million in cash transfers to offshore corporations and partnerships.
The SPLC admits to having a foreign financial account and lists almost $100 million in “non-US equity funds”
When measured at net asset value that number reaches over $130 million.
As of October 31st, the SPLC’s endowment was over $738 million and total net assets reached over $829 million.
