The Lincoln Memorial spent many years filthy and filled with Algae and bird poop, the water was murky, brown and most likely filled with bacteria – however nobody in the mainstream media said a word about it.
Even when Obama spent $35 million in taxpayer dollars to do – well – apparently absolutely nothing, because the memorial stayed filthy then dried up. Again, no outrage by the media.
But now, after a top-level foreign dignitary from Germay made a comment about how disgusting the Lincoln Memorial was, President Trump decided to do something about it.
Crews started draining what was left in the entire reflecting pool because the bottom was leaking.
Instead of spending over $300 million and years replacing it, they decided on a less expensive, more practical method.
First crews deep cleaned the entire surface removing algae buildup and debris, then they applied an industrial strength coating – which is a beautiful blue color that will help reflect the light.
It costs about $1-$2 million, takes one or two weeks and will last for decades.
Their goal is to have it done by July 4th for the country’s 250th anniversary
And as expected the media is having full blown meltdowns, complaining about everything from how the sealer is allegedly going on uneven, to accusing Trump of ruining the historic look of the pool. In fact, a lawsuit has even been filed.
Critics say Democrats hate Trump & nice things, and would rather have let the algae and goose poop sit in the pool than have Trump clean it up.
