#new ‘Teen Takeovers’ are erupting across the nation, as hundreds of teens flood the streets in multiple cities sparking violence, chaos, and destruction.
Authorities are blaming soft on crime policies and bad parenting for failing to stop the mob behavior.
In Long Branch, New Jersey, police set an 8 p.m. curfew after hundreds of teens turned a so-called social media pop-up into violent chaos.
Over two hundred police officers in riot gear had to lock down the entire beach town after the teens started fighting, jumping on cars and stealing them.
Multiple teens were arrested for assault. Officials and residents are asking where are the parents?
In Norfolk, Virginia, teens set what ever they could find in the streets on fire, and in
Michigan buildings were overtaken as a massive teen take over swarmed downtown Detroit, forcing businesses to close early.
Teens were seen breaking into businesses, cars, assaulting each other, and jumping on vehicles.
Again, locals want to know where the parents of these teens are, and why don’t they know what their kids are doing.
In Rhode Island, 3 teens were stabbed during a Teen Takeover at a Town Beach
And 51 people were arrested on Tuesday alone after a “teen takeover” at Hampton Beach – which is now being called the formerly peaceful and safe beach – with locals warning to avoid the area and saying the chaos needs to stop now.
An illegal “teen takeover” at a park in Buckroe Beach, VA saw over 400 teenagers swarming the area, terrifying residents, jumping on cars and fighting.
In Chicago teens were burning cars in the middle of the street and blocking traffic with many saying Chicago looks like a 3rd world country, not America…
In Chicago’s Hyde Park and the Loop, hundreds of teens climbed on parked cars, set off alarms, stomped on hoods, and broke windshields.
One takeover saw a mob ram a police cruiser backward while other teens cheered and filmed, they then swarmed the vehicle.
Meanwhile, downtown, there were gunfights and stabbings. Police officers were injured trying to break up the crowds – and issued snap curfews to stop the chaos.
Mayor Brandon Johnson – who claimed Chicago is safe and doesn’t need any federal help – is being heavily criticized for not authorizing police to fully engage like making mass arrests, impounding vehicles or pursuing people who are promoting the events on social media
Johnson has also called to defund the police, called jails and law enforcement a sickness and enforces what critics say amounts to ‘catch and release’
In Florida, over 20 teenagers, ages 12 to 21, were arrested after a takeover turned violent with fights erupting in a downtown park.
Police swarmed in, recovered weapons and charged the teens with drug possession, resisting arrests.
In D.C. more than 200 teens swarmed the Navy Yard area. Fights broke out and a a 15-year-old was arrested for allegedly firing a gun.
Weeks later, eight teens (ages 12-17) were arrested in Southwest D.C. after street fights, with five accused of assaulting officers.
Many are now calling for the parents of the teens taking part in these violent takeovers to be prosecuted.
U.S. Attorney for D.C., Jeanine Pirro announced that her office will aggressively prosecute parents whose kids join “teen takeovers,” charging them with contributing to the delinquency of a minor under D.C. curfew laws, with penalties including fines, mandatory parenting classes, and up to six months in jail.
Even so, just hours after Pirro warned parents, teens were fighting and throwing chairs inside a DC Chipotle
What do you think? Is prosecuting the parents the answer?
