Governor Greg Abbott posted videos showing an alleged cartel member pointing an AK-47 at a Department of Public Safety helicopter flying near the border in Starr County.
Governor Abbott has deployed 10,000 troopers to the Texas Mexico border as part of Operation Lonestar to provide border security that he say’s Joe Biden is failing to do.
The governor has also restarted construction of the Texas border wall.
Abbott, along with numerous others, is blaming Biden for the unprecedented crisis at the southern border, pointing to Biden’s frenzy of memos and executive orders that reversed President Donald Trump’s immigration policies such as: ending border wall construction, stopping deportation, greatly expanding the definition of asylum, suspension of the remain in Mexico policy and dictating, through Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that a person cannot be arrested simply for being in the country illegally.
