Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Raises A Record Breaking $100,000,000 For Re-Election Campaign

The Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis is now the number one fundraiser in all of state politics, amassing a record setting $100 million in donations for hiss 2022 re-election campaign.

DeSantis, a Republican who first took office in 2019,  raised $109,869,159 in total contributions, this according to the most recent campaign finance reports made to the Florida Secretary of State.

The Florida Governor  spent $13,706,657 between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021.

According to Commotion, The Democratic Governors Association  have all but deserted democrat candidates running against Governor DeSantis saying,

“The Democratic Governors Association is not planning on making any major financial contributions to help Democrats try to unset the Republican incumbent and potential presidential contender.”

The Florida Governor has taken a strong stance for the constituents in his state during his time in office, most recently signing the Parental Rights In Education Bill into law, which prohibits injecting Kindergartners through third grade students transgender ideology saying sexuality should be taught by parents.

He’s also stated he is looking into taking special status away from Disney, who has openly said they would ‘do anything in their power’ to defeat the Parental Rights in Education Bill, and have taken a pro-active approach to injecting transgenderism into their cartoons and theme parks.

Governor DeSantis has signed a slew of very popular bills into law such as:

  • Guaranteeing the right to visit loved ones in Florida Hospitals and long-term care facilities

“Throughout the pandemic, the federal government has waived protections for families to visit their loved ones in hospitals and long-term care facilities. That is unacceptable,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “Here in Florida, we recognize that family and human connection is one of the most important aspects of physical, mental, and emotional well-being and we are ensuring Floridians are never again denied the right to see their relatives and friends while in hospitals or nursing homes.”

  • Requiring school districts to be transparent in the selection of instructional materials including library and reading materials

“In Florida, our parents have every right to be involved in their child’s education. We are not going to let politicians deny parents the right to know what is being taught in our schools. I’m proud to sign this legislation that ensures curriculum transparency,” said Governor Ron DeSantis.

  • Stopping the censorship of Floridians by Big Tech

“This session, we took action to ensure that ‘We the People’ — real Floridians across the Sunshine State — are guaranteed protection against the Silicon Valley elites,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “Many in our state have experienced censorship and other tyrannical behavior firsthand in Cuba and Venezuela. If Big Tech censors enforce rules inconsistently, to discriminate in favor of the dominant Silicon Valley ideology, they will now be held accountable.”

  • Safeguarding elections by signing an Election Integrity and Transparency Bill

“Florida took action this legislative session to increase transparency and strengthen the security of our elections,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “Floridians can rest assured that our state will remain a leader in ballot integrity. Elections should be free and fair, and these changes will ensure this continues to be the case in the Sunshine State. I’d like to thank our legislative leaders on this issue – Senate President Wilton Simpson, House Speaker Chris Sprowls, Senator Dennis Baxley, and Representative Blaise Ingoglia.”
