Gunfire erupted at an Indianapolis birthday party after a fight broke out early Sunday Morning.
Police say it happened at the banquet hall located on the 4200 block of 38th Street, which is on the Northwest side in Indianapolis, at about 3:20 a.m.
Officials say when they arrived to the scene, they found three people had been shot, one male and one female. They were taken to local area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. They then located A third victim, inside the building He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement the Metropolitan Police Department said that shooting happened both inside and outside of the banquet hall, adding that they do not have any one in custody at this time.
“Preliminarily, detectives believe a birthday party was taking place at the event hall when a fight occurred and shots were fired. Shots were fired both inside and outside the building. There are no individuals detained reference this incident.”
According to police, the other three victims checked into local area hospitals separately and are expected to survive
