Violent Crime, Homicides In Black Communities Continues To Rise To Alarming Levels


Almost 10,000 black people were killed in 2020 which is about 2,000 more homicides committed in the black community than in 2019.

According to FBI Data, black murders spiked by about 30% year over year.

In 2020 9,941 Black lives were taken as compared to 7,777 in 2019 and more than 8,000 of the 2020 homicides were committed by black offenders.

In fact according to the FBI, black lives accounted for nearly 56% off all homicides in 2019 and nearly 55% of all homicide victims -even though African Americas, according to census data only make up 12.4% of the population in the United States.

Data shows that violent crime and homicides are concentrated in low-income black communities that have democrat leadership and understaffed police departments.

For Example, Chicago which is under the leadership of Mayor Lorie Lightfoot 80% of shooting victims in 2020 were black.
According to the latest data in New York City, 7% of of people who were shot were black.

There was recently saw a pair of mass shootings, one in Cedar Rapids Iowa, the other in Sacramento California that claimed the lives of 8 people – 7 of which were minority – and led to the arrests of five suspects -all
of whom are African American.

The statistics work out to show that 1 black person was killed every hour in America in 2020.

The Rash of mass shootings that have happened in recent weeks have all occurred in minority communities.

Five out of the Six people killed in a Sacramento gang related mass shooting that happened earlier this month were minorities, as are the suspects who have been arrested and are being charged in connection with the shooting.

A dozen more people were injured in that incident.

The same weekend a mass shooting took place in Dallas at a Rap concert. 26-year-old, Kealon Gilmore, a member of the minority community, was shot in the head and died, at least 10 others were injured.

Police are still searching for the gunmen responsible in that shooting.

Meanwhile, earlier this week a fight broke out at a birthday party that was being held at an event center in Indianapolis. That fight led to a shooting that resulted in the death one man, 24 year old Belansky Fanord,
and injured five others.

The birthday bash featured a number of different performers which were showcased on a flyer advertising the event. No arrests have been made in this shooting.

Most recently a mass shooting happened in Cedar Rapids, Iowa that claimed the lives of two People and injured 10 others. The shooting took place at downtown nightclub that was predominately frequented by the minority
community.

Nicole Owens and Michael Valentine – both African Americans – were killed.

One man Timothy Rush, a member of the minority community and in a relationship with Owens, has been
arrested and charged with murder.

Police are still searching for another suspect.
