A new audit has revealed that almost half of Joe Biden’s 22.2 million followers on Twitter are fake.
In fact, SparkToro – the company that conducted the audit – discovered that more than 49% of Biden’s followers are fake.
Fake followers are defined, by SparkToro, as accounts that are “unreachable and will not see the account’s tweets” because they are accounts that are not active on Twitter, spam bots, Twitter Bots or other types of accounts.
The issue of Twitter bots prompted Elon Musk to put his acquisition of Twitter on hold.
