The Veto comes as the Republican Governor signed his state’s new budget for the next fiscal year which starts on July 1st.

According to a report, the budget is a record $109.9 billion however, funds for a Pasco sports complex that was expected to become a spring-training facility for the Tampa Bay Rays, will not be included.

The Florida Republican signed his state’s new budget Thursday for the coming fiscal year, which begins on July 1.

Governor DeSantis reportedly blocked the allocation for the practice facility after the Tampa Bay Rays’ numerous anti-Second Amendment posts on social media.
