A Florida preschool teacher has been indicted by a federal grand jury on multiple child pornography charges.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida announced that 24-year-old Trevor Alec Hruby is being charged with one count of possessing child pornography and four counts of production of child pornography.
Everything happened between December 2020 and September 2021, according to the indictment. During that time frame, Hruby allegedly produced and possessed child pornography that involved minors under the age of 12.
The indictment says Hruby tried to get at least four minor female children ( identified only as Jane Does) to “engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct.”
Federal prosecutors say the defendant’s charges are ‘related’ to charges he’s facing from the State Attorney’s Office for the 8th Judicial Circuit. Court records show that there are nine open dockets from that jurisdiction all of which involve alleged sex crimes against minors – including child cruelty involving directing or promoting sexual performance, sexual assault, the possession of obscene material and lewd lascivious behavior.
The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office said Hruby’s bond in two of his state cases is $2.5 million.
