Trump Declined To Buy Stolen Diary Of Biden’s Daughter, Federal Prosecutors Say

The two people who are accused of stealing the diary of Joe Biden’s daughter and then attempting to sell it to Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign before selling it to Project Veritas have pled guilty to transporting stolen property across state lines.

According to federal prosecutors, Aimee Harris and Robert Kurlander approached the Trump campaign to see if they wanted to buy the stolen diary during a fundraising event held on September 6, 2020.

However, the Trump campaign told the pair to take the diary to the FBI with Kurlander texting Harris. “They want it to go to the FBI. There is NO WAY [Trump] can use this. It has to be done a different way.”

The criminal information filed as part of the pair’s guilty pleas revealed that Harris and Kurlander each received $20,000 for the diary.

Even though Project Veritas purchased the diary, they did not publish it and have denied any wrongdoing. The investigation into the selling of the stolen diary involved a raid on Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe’s home.

The diary was eventually published by the National File.
