Democratic Congressman Tim Ryan out of Ohio sparked controversy by saying that Americans need to “kill and confront” what he called ‘extremist’ MAGA Republicans.
During an appearance Tuesday on MSNBC Ryan said,
“The Democrats aren’t right on everything. And I’m willing to sit down and have conversations about how we can move out of this age of stupidity. Some of those answers will come from Republicans, not the extremists that we are dealing with every single day, we’ve got to kill and confront that movement.”

Ryan is currently locked in a tight race for U.S. Senate with Republican J.D. Vance, an author and political newcomer who has the endorsement of former President Trump.
Ryan’s comments follow the same type of criticism launched against Trump supporters by his democrat colleagues and even Joe Biden who delivered a speech last month calling 74 million Americans ‘terrorists’ for supporting President Donald Trump.
In fact, a poll conducted by Convention of States and the Trafalgar Group found that the majority ofAmericans believe that Biden’s speech, in which he gave in front of an eerie red backdrop, was intentionally designed to ‘incite conflict,’ and more than 58% of voters think Biden has further divided the country.
According to a poll conducted by I&I/TIPP, 62 percent of Americans think that the White House’s attacks on “MAGA Republicans” has increased division in the country, with 73 percent of Democrats agreeing.
